Message Hi everyone. A week ago I pulled my plenum to replace my original injectors on my '91 TT that had all gone bad with 740cc NISMOs and new connectors, and replaced the plugs with NGK Iridium IX heat range 7. I also got an EPROM from Specialty Z tuned for everything.

The car started and ran poor for a while but eventually leveled out, albeit with an idle of 1100-1500 RPM. The next day, I got a new battery and the car turned over in half a second and ran halfway decent. The day after that, it cranked fast for a long time and took a few tries to start. It started but ran like crap; shaking and stumbling and not idling without throttle. On my Autometer vacuum/boost gauge, I was getting a reading of around 10 in/Mg of vacuum, and it needed to be revved to keep running and would die within about five seconds without throttle. It seemed like it had no fast idle, it just sort of hunted around and stumbled around. I tried to clean my IACV system so I sprayed WD-40 in between my Air regulator and Idle air adjusting unit as per Robo's instuctional page on his site. Still did not run well or have a decent idle, possibly worse.

So I did a boost leak test and heard a HUGE leak somewhere at the back of the engine bay close to the IACV system and maybe under the plenum between cylinder 4 and 6. My first thought was driver side PCV valve or hose, but i sprayed hot soapy water on it and saw no bubbles. There were a few tiny leaks like the hose connecting to the air regulator and the brake booster to plenum hose and fixed them, but there is still a MAJOR leak somewhere back there and I can't with any certainty determine where and I don't want to replace things that don't need it as I've blown my annual Z budget. Any ideas what it could be or ways to proceed from here? What should I be looking at/for? Any good Z mechanics in Minnesota/Dakotas/Wisconsin/Iowa anywhere close to Bernie's skill? I just want to be able to drive it a bit this year before the snow flies :(

Thanks for reading if you made it this far and any insight you can offer me.

Any questions or if I need to provide more details please tell me.
